Team Lead Instrument Tech:Inpatient:Central Services Job - Department: Central Service

Responsibilities: Assists with the operation of the sterile cores, guide instrument and scope processing and managing supplies. These responsibilities include: Coordinates and performs daily activities that support the surgical practice. Supervises Central Service technicians assigned to the sterile cores, processing and supplying areas. Maintains inventory and instrumentation. Supervises the cleaning and sterilization process according to established standards. Assists with the teaching, counseling and evaluating of staff.

Qualifications: High school graduate or GED required. At least one year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting required. Central Service Technician certification required. Demonstrates knowledge of care and handling of instrumentation. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrates knowledge of resource management. Demonstrates minimal computer knowledge.

Additional Qualifications: Internal applicants are required to attach their three most recent performance appraisals.

Minimum of three years current Central Service experience preferred. Advanced Central Service Technician certification (CIS or CHL) preferred. Previous Team Lead Instrument Technician experience preferred. Successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service preferred.

License or Certification: Certified Central Service Technician Certification required.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is 15.79 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: 8:30am : 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with flexibility. Call requirement. Rotating weekends and holidays required.
