Responsibilities: The RN Coordinator Team Lead (TL) acts as an informal leader within the work unit while performing the duties of the RN Coordinator. In addition, the Team Lead participates and collaborates with the management staff to assist with the daily operations of the unit and/or department. The TL is accountable for the oversight of the RN Coordinator in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN Manager which includes workflows of the pre and post transplant patients. Where coordination is provided, the TL will assure that the nursing process of critical thinking is the expectation for care delivered. The TL will: See that required knowledge, skills, and competencies for the RN coordinator role are evaluated yearly including Unit Based Competencies and Mayo Clinic mandatory education; participate in updating orientation materials and checklists annually and as needed; contributes to performance feedback and participates in annual performance evaluations of the RN coordinator; monitors on a daily basis assigned work areas, work schedules, absences, meetings and timekeeping. The TL will also participate and collaborate with management in conflict resolution. The TL takes on:call responsibilities on a rotating basis. Weekly duties include but are not limited to inpatient, outpatient clinic and triage responsibilities. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, the AAACN Ambulatory Care Nursing Administration and Practice Standards, and the ANA Code of Ethics provide a basis for the practice.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate or Masters Degree in Nursing required. Minimum two years of previous outpatient transplant nursing experience required.
Additional Qualifications: Leadership experience preferred. Able to work autonomously and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum operating efficiency required. Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the clinical setting required. Available to work flexible hours during the day to meet work unit and patient care needs required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong computer skills preferred.
License or Certification: Current RN licensure from Arizona required. Also requires CCTC certification upon hire. Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. Maintains specialty certification per unit guidelines.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every two weeks is approximately 2,931.20, based on a full:time position.
